About
Hi, I’m Jared. I’m a writer, media professional, crocheter, amateur presidential historian, and native New Englander living in Brooklyn.
In the past few years, I worked in marketing for PBS’s American Experience, creating original social content, coordinating awards and festival strategy, and producing live events for public TV’s most watched history series. During my tenure, I increased our reach across platforms by 20%, while garnering nominations for a Peabody Award, a DuPont-Columbia Award, and six News & Documentary Emmy Awards.
Before PBS, I worked in journalism for Boston’s 7 News. I was also honored with the Television Academy Internship in Los Angeles, where I worked with the Current Series and Development teams at FX, basic cable’s most decorated network. Through it all, I’ve pursued my own creative endeavors too, writing for my Substack Inside Jared and collaborating with friends on a slew of video and audio projects.
In my career, I’ve traveled the country and crossed paths with prolific and inspiring people, from New York Times journalists to disability activists to Oscar-winning filmmakers.
In all of the work I do, I strive to find innovative and creative ways of connecting storytellers with their audiences and audiences with the stories they need to hear.
I’d love to connect with you to discuss how my experience can be of service to you!
